Hi.
I’m Jacqueline Hunter and I live in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.
I have been conducting family history research since 1990 and in 2012 I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Genealogical, Paleographic and Heraldic Studies (that is, family history, old handwriting and heraldry) at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. I am also fully committed to continuing to update my knowledge and skills. Please see my ‘Continuous Professional Development’ page for details of the courses and workshops I’ve attended recently.
I also have an honours degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland and I have a background in financial services.
My specialist areas of knowledge are Fife, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Morayshire, Banffshire and Caithness.
I belong to the Scottish Genealogy Network, a group of professional genealogists based in Scotland.
I am a member of Fife Family History Society, Highland Family History Society, Aberdeen and North-East Scotland Family History Society and North of Ireland Family History Society.
I have a vast knowledge of Scottish geography and history due to having lived in Scotland all my life and having spent many fabulous holidays exploring my country.
